March 4, 2010 Forum Onslow: 2010 Census	The Governmental Affairs Committee of the Jacksonville •Onslow Chamber of Commerce is presenting a Forum Onslow – “Census 2010:  Who, What, When and Why it is Important.”  The Forum will help inform our community of how the 2010 Census will affect our economic development efforts in Onslow County as well as our funding for necessary activities and projects.    The Forum will be held at 10:00am, in the City Council Chambers, Jacksonville City Hall.  Those in attendance may write your question or comment on a card we will provide and you can pass it to a Chamber representative who will put it in the electronic system for the moderator.  Those viewing are welcome to participate by sending your comments or questions during the Forum to g10Events@ci.jacksonville.nc.us or you will be able to Tweet to G10events (only good during the Forum).   Reservations can be made by calling the Chamber office at 347-3141 or emailing jbowen@jacksonvilleonline.org.
March 5 and 6, 2010 2010 Business Expo: "Business Treasure Hunt"	The Jacksonville•Onslow Chamber of Commerce is excited to once again bring you the best Business Expo in Eastern North Carolina! This Expo provides an exceptional networking opportunity with other businesses, and it’s a great way for consumers to experience what Jacksonville•Onslow businesses have to offer!   Come see over 100 local businesses and restaurants as they reach out to you, the Eastern North Carolina consumer. Large, small, retail, wholesale, manufacturing, or service-oriented businesses of all kinds will be on hand displaying their wares.   The Business Expo will take place March 5th & 6th at the American Legion in Jacksonville. March 12-14, 2010 O.P.T.I.O.N.S. Expo/Home Party Show	The O.P.T.I.O.N.S Expo is held to help promote home based businesses. March 27, 2010 4th Annual Trades Day: Champions at Work!	The 4th Annual Trades Day: Champions at Work is a competition for high school students that are in the vocational education classes in Onslow and Jones County High Schools.  The event will take place Saturday, March 27, 2010 at Coastal Carolina Community College starting at 8:00am.     There are several different events at the competition including automotive, construction, drafting, masonry, and welding.  We award plaques as well as cash prizes to the winners in each competition.     Our partnership includes Jacksonville•Onslow Chamber of Commerce, Onslow County Home Builders Association, Onslow County Schools, Coastal Carolina Community College, Eastern Carolina Workforce Development Board, and W.T.
