Enhanced Extended Child Care (EECC)

U.S. Marine Corps Family Child Care Program expands support for families with ENHANCED EXTENDED CHILD CARE (EECC).  This is a pilot program that is available for military families when they can not use their regularly scheduled care due to unexpected duty requirements, extended duty hours, family illness or a family emergency. Family Child Care Provider(s) aboard Camp Lejeune have been carefully selected to provide quality childcare during evenings, weekends and Federal holidays.  There is no cost to the family.  For more information about the EECC program at Camp Lejeune please call (910) 451-2414.

NACCRRA

Exceptional Family Member Program (EFMP) Respite Care

The Marine Corps recognizes that families devote a great deal of time and attention to their exceptional family members.  Being a parent of an exceptional child can be especially demanding when you have a career in the Marine Corps.

The National Association of Child Care Resource and Referral’s (NACCRRA) Exceptional Family Member Program (EFMP) Respite Care is a means by which families can have the time they need to take care of other responsibilities or just take a well-deserved break.  Eligible families may receive up to 40 hours of free child care per month.

This special project is being coordinated in eastern North Carolina by the Onslow County Partnership for Children for active duty military families stationed at Camp Lejeune, New River Air Station, and Cherry Point Air Station. Senior Services

If a family member of a deployed service member is caring for an elderly person and needs a break Onslow County Senior Services will care for them at the Adult Day Care Center on a day by day basis.  The elderly adult has to be 60 years of age or older.  Contact number 455-2747.
