Meet Our Staff

Mona PadrickMona Padrick
President

Responsible for the cohesiveness of the Chamber, especially the connection between business and community, she works closely with the base and local government to enact change in our city and county, works towards creating many initiatives and taskforces to better Onslow County, serves on the Eastern Carolina Workforce Development Board of Directors as the Chairperson in 2009. She also serves as the chairperson to the Military Business Center Advisory Committee.

Theresa CarterTheresa Carter
Tourism Manager

Theresa is responsible for management of financial and internal operations in the day-to day functioning of Onslow County Tourism.  This includes planning, budgeting, administering, and evaluating all programs and activities in operation by Onslow County Tourism.  She reports directly to the President of the Chamber of Commerce, and with the President, serves as spokesperson for Onslow County Tourism.

Amy RiveraAmy Rivera
Community Relations & Military Affairs Manager

Amy is responsible for organization and participation in Speed Networking.  She is responsible for coordination of the Ambassador's Club as well as provides management and coordination for all functions associated with Jacksonville•Onslow Chamber of Commerce programs pertaining to Military Affairs.

Special Events Manager
& Project CARE

Alie is responsible for organizing and conducting events like the Adult Team Spelling Bee, the Holiday Parade and the Business Expo. She manages participation at pre-deployment briefs on base to give Marines and spouses information on Project CARE.

Membership Manager

Teresa facilitates an understanding of Chamber membership benefits to both current and prospective members.  She is responsible for Business After Hours, Ribbon Cuttings and Open House events, as well as member retention and new member recruitment.

Janet BowenJanet Bowen
Operations & Governmental Affairs Manager

Janet's duties include Operations and Governmental Affairs, finance, personnel, and internal operations related to the day-to-day functioning of the Commerce building. She performs accounting and reporting tasks associated with receipts and disbursements of funds, provides management and coordination for functions and programs pertaining to and associated with the Governmental Affairs Committee, Forum Onslow and the Leadership Program.

Chris ZimmermanChristine Zimmerman
Marketing Manager & Administrative Assistant to the President

Christine is responsible for the Marketing efforts of the Chamber.  She coordinates layout and oversees publication of the Chamber Voice newsletter and Chamber & Tourism News weekly emails.  She maintains Member to Member flyers on the website and works closely with the rest of the staff to ensure continuity within promotional materials.  Christine also organizes meetings of the Chamber's Board of Directors, as well as assisting the Chamber President as needed.

Kara HoseltonKara Hoselton
Workforce & Tourism Assistant

Kara's responsibilities include Workforce Steering and Education Committee.  She also is staff person for BASES, Salute to Excellence, Education Golf Tournament, Career Carnival, School to Work, Physicians Affairs Committee, Trades Day, and supports the Small Business Council.  As Tourism Assistant, she works with the Tourism Advisory Committee, maintains the brochure racks, and does Welcome Aboard briefs and Agro-tourism projects.

Receptionist

 

LaKeisha is the Chamber's front line for answering the phones and any questions from visitors to the Commerce Center.  She is responsible for sending out Visitor Guides and Relocation Packets.

Million Heir-WilliamsMillion Heir-Williams 

Minority Business Services Division Manager

 

Million coordinates the Minority Business Roundtables (MBRs) as well as Minority Enterprise Development (MED) Day.  The African-American Heritage Trail is a new project added this year to highlight the contributions of African-Americans in Onslow County and focus on local history, culture, leaders, and communities.
